Recently, four departments, including the Zhejiang Civil Affairs Bureau, jointly issued the Implementation Guidelines for the Trade-In of Consumer Goods and Elderly-Friendly Home Renovation Program in Zhejiang Province. According to the Yiwu Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, this initiative has officially started in Yiwu.
The subsidy standards offer 50% coverage for elderly people aged 60 to 79 and 60% for those aged 80 and above, with a maximum subsidy of RMB 20,000 per household.
It is important to note that applicants must purchase items and materials listed in the Scope Directory of Elderly-Friendly Home Renovation Project Subsidy to qualify for subsidies. The subsidy will be determined based on the purchase price for a single good, but no subsidy will be granted for amounts exceeding the guideline price. The same household cannot receive both elderly-friendly home renovation and old house renovation (kitchen and bathroom) subsidies at the same time, so consumers may choose the higher subsidy. The subsidy covers renovation items, materials, and other necessary goods, and at least 15% (minimum RMB 1,000) of each household's total purchase must be for renovation items and materials from the directory to qualify for the subsidy. And subsidies will not be granted for those who do not meet the required standards. |
