On June 24, Cainiao announced the establishment of its first merchant center of global express in Yiwu, and the planning of landing 7 centers across the country, which would offer in-depth services to 20 core industrial belts and provide more than 100,000 cross-border merchants with inclusive international express solutions suitable for middle and small-sized merchants.
Data suggests that in 2023, the cross-border e-commerce transaction volume in Yiwu reached 121.16 billion yuan, and the express business volume reached 10.58 billion pieces. The number of cross-border logistics enterprises in Yiwu now exceeded 1,000, with the number of employees over 70,000. While Cainiao, which was born in 2013, has grown into the world's largest cross-border e-commerce logistics company after 11 years of development, and its global smart logistics network covers over 200 countries and regions. In 2023, Cainiao handled more than 1.5 billion cross-border packages, serving 133 million cross- border consumers and over 100,000 merchants and brands. |
